Ever wish you could get that jolt of caffeine even before your feet hit the ground?

Now you can avoid the “hassle” of having to actually walk to the kitchen to brew your coffee.

Because here’s something that could be the answer to your nighttime dreams and get you up and going in the morning in style.

If you’ve been looking for an easier and gentler way to get up in the morning, Joshua Renouf has created the Barisieur with you in mind.

The Barisieur is a radio alarm clock and coffee machine combo that will prepare your morning coffee at your bedside and have it ready for you when you wake up.

What is the Barisieur?

Starting as an undergraduate project in college, the Barisieur is now being funded in a Kickstarter campaign. By studying sleep habits, Renouf believes that a routine of preparing your coffee or tea before bedtime is a great way to tell the body to start to relax and get ready to go to sleep.

As a further way to lull yourself to sleep, the smell of ground coffee or tea adds a sensory factor throughout the night.

Then in the morning, the clock preps the coffee at the preset time and you get to wake up to the smell of fresh coffee or tea.

How does the Barisieur work?

You fill the water bottle and the coffee (or tea) filter the night before. When it’s time to prepare the coffee, the clock will heat up the water through induction heating. Using steam pressure, it then pumps the water up through a pipe which will drip through your grounds in the filter.

Because the heating works by induction, the unit stays cool to the touch. There’s a single sealed drawer that is partitioned to hold your coffee and sugar. There’s also a small slot to keep your test tube of milk cold overnight.

The glassware and stainless steel parts are dishwasher safe.

How much does the Barisieur cost?

Renouf is estimating the cost will be around $250 – $420. Pricing is so high is because the parts are custom-made. There are no off-the-shelf parts that can be used. The Barisieur will it be available in both white and black models.

Where can I buy a Barisieur?

You can’t buy a Barisieur right now, but you can contribute to the Kickstarter campaign. This could get you early entrée to the Barisieur and be the first on your block to have it.

So, need that caffeine in your system like, right now? If you have trouble getting out of bed before you have your coffee, the Barisieur can take care of that and have it ready for you.

Check out the Barisieur. Who knows, you might just be able to keep your chilly toes under the sheets for a little while longer.
